Hi all,
I picked up Samsung NX10 yesterday at Jessops - they have a great deal of NX10 + 18-55 OIS lens + 30mm f/2 pancake for £599!
I haven't had much chance to play with it yet but so far I'm very impressed - particularly with the pancake lens which, combined with the body's APS-C sensor, gives a nice shallow DoF for portraits (with an effective 48mm-ish field of view).
I had my eyes on the GF1 + 20mm f/1.7 for a while but this twin lens kit was £100 cheaper plus you get the larger sensor. Negatives I suppose are the NX mount as opposed to m4/3 - but Samsung have announced some nice lenses and I'm hoping that in due course an NX/M42 adapter will appear so I can mount my old manual lenses.
Here's a couple of pics for now - first the body with pancake mounted, with the kit lens:
And secondly the kit lens vs Canon's 24-105 in terms of size:
I'll add some pictures from the camera once things brighten up here (and when I work out how to get the RAWs into Lightroom - they don't seem to be supported yet natively).
So far I am very impressed - the handling is great and it feels like a solid piece of kit. I haven't tried the 18-55 lens yet but the 30mm is very impressive and renders OOF areas very nicely (the bokeh is very smooth and not busy at all).
The body is a bit bigger than the GF1 but then the NX10 has a built-in EVF (which detects when you put your eye up to it and switches off the main LCD!). The main LCD is a beautiful AMOLED display that has a wide viewing angle and apparently works great in sunshine (not that this is much of a problem in the UK!)
I hope this doesn't read like an advert, but thought I'd share the information because I am genuinely impressed and surprised by this camera. I hadn't heard much/anything about this camera before but I suspect it could be a dark horse and hopefully give the Olympus and Panasonics of the world a run for their money in the mirrorless market!
Any questions about the kit, just ask - I don't think it's been out long so I'm happy to provide information to anybody thinking about buying one!
edit: here's a picture taken using the 30mm f/2 lens. It's obviously nothing world-changing but shows the nice blur offered by the f/2 and APS-C sensor. I'm not a fan of out-of-camera JPEGs but don't have ACR/Lightroom RAW support yet so that's what we've got

edit: Woah, less than 24 hours old and already it has a problem. I just raised the EVF to my eye and the EVF display is full of electronic interference... this camera will need to be returned
edit2: Took that one back and got a replacement ... this one has a working EVF but won't remember the time/date. I think it's going to have to go back again and this time I will get a refund
