New Campervan

Very nice indeed, enjoy ;)

Very nice vehicle style capture Mike, "ENJOY".

Jealous as hell! Always wanted one but never managed it. Looks great and I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Looks great and nice for not being a white one!

Here's to many adventures in her

Looks nice Mike , same colour as mine , Burnt Orange , shorter wheel base, no tail swing to speak of. Is it a Fiat ?
Mine is a Fiat Ducato ,3Ltre., been absolutely trouble free .View attachment 401561
Ours is also a Fiat Ducato.
2.2ltr 180bhp, 9 speed automatic
6.4m
Adria call it Batic Orange.
Her name is Islay and we have the reg to match 15 LAY

That's a superb looking campervan

As others, very jealous

That must have cost a fortune

It looks superb, at one time I would have been very envious but unfortunately, I am now too old to enjoy one but I hope you have many happy hours in it.
BTW don't forget to visit the Edradour distillery while you are in Pitlochry

My inlaws were up there earlier in the year, and said that they were no longer doing tours.

I did the tour a few years ago.
Lovely wee distillery.
I treated myself to a bottle of Caledonia 12 year old which was ok at best.
Nice walk up to the distillery via the Black Spout waterfall.

Very nice Mike, I remember many years ago trying to pitch a tent at Milton of Fonab, nearest thing to hang gliding I'll ever get. Good choice of name too
I know the feeling well  :$
Reminds me of the time I chased my new Goretex jacket across the summit of a Munro!!
Also the struggle of putting on overtrousers when it's blowing a gale
:LOL::LOL:

So many possibilities and adventures. Have a great time. A purchase that I keep thinking about. Like many others I'm jealous.

Perhaps this thread will inspire me to get on with it!

Very Jealous.

I have a T5.1 which I converted a couple of years ago. It's a lovely conversion with numerous bells and whistles (including Wifi) and for myself it's fantastic but when the wife and dogs come along it's just far too small and not so enjoyable.

I just had a look at the price of yours and nearly spat my coffee all over my desk. One of these days I'll sell mine and buy a Crafter to convert.

Thanks Elliott (y)
We follow The Rolling Rucks on Youtube.
They converted a Crafter last year - the guy did a great job!!
He has started a new channel - Vanology Conversions that you may find interesting ;)

Very nice!

I keep toying with the idea but it's how much use it would get vs the cost. It wouldn't be anything that new or nice anyway. Plus anything that size I'd have nowhere to keep it aside from the road in our cul de sac! Something Transit or T5 size would be a lot easier.

And I have my Ford Focus plus the weekend Mk1 Escort, plus the other half is just learning to drive automatic so that's another car......

Enjoy Mike (y)

We've had campervans getting on nearly 35 years and try get away most weekends

Never had owt as posh as yours though, at present we have a 2007 2.3 Fiat Ducato LWB, our first was a CF Bedford 1800 petrol, imagine running that now!

Was it a conscious decision to buy European spec or was it the only option available?

I am converting a 2007 Iveco MWB 2.3 LTR diesel , It has a scooter lift , I can now take the scooter with me , I have made a bed platform above the scooter so sleeping is now sorted , Most seats have been removed and sold apart from 2 doubles , The pair behind the driver seat that did face forward I have now turned them around so they now face towards the rear , Second pair face forward, I will install a table between them , Then onto curtains and a kitchen pod.
The van has a genuine 18.000 miles from new , Was a school mini bus , I cheched the MOT history to verify the milage , Bodywork is good , Just needed a proper compound and polish . Came with 12 months MOT.

The 6m version is UK specced but for some reason the 640 is EU specced, Phil

We keep ours in storage a couple of miles from home.
A bit of a nuisance but at least it's safe ;)

I think it is a case of the minority spoiling things for everyone else.

My wife's fb page reminded her that it was 11 years ago to the day that we bought 'Seymour' as in 'see more of France'. A 1984 Le Voyageur based on a Citroen C25. 3 tonnes, 73bhp (when it left the showroom), no PAS, brown velour upholstery. We went all over France (slowly) in the 6 years we had him.

Now we have Berty (Burster from Bordeaux) who laughs at hills, sneers at mountains and has a 2,000 litre storage compartment (nearly enough for the wife's shoes.)

I picked him up from the repair shop yesterday after a four week repair for hail damage in October. Once the weather picks up and I've finished decorating I will go off for three days fishing.

Replaced the cam belt kit and water pump with all new idler bearings and tensioners , Boy what a job . I needed to remove the front slam panel then the radiator follewed by the intercooler to just get access to the belt cover , Took me a couple of days , It was a BIG JOB .

Is that on a Ducato? The local garages charge about €600 for a full timing belt and kit change. A lot more on A Class vans because of the restricted access.

No , It was a Iveco Daily 2.3 diesel.
