New computer what software?

guys i have just got a new macbook pro 13" its the higher processor one with 4mb ram (I'm upgrading to 8mb next month). I have been using the iPhoto as per installed and really enjoy using it compared to my really old version of photoshop. I was thinking of buying aperture? What do u guys think or should i go for something else? I'm not a professional but liked being able to remove things from photos etc. Also will it run ok on my macbook
 
Aperture definately worth the investment. A mate has a mac and he uses it all the time. I have a pc and use lightroom which I believe is similar to Aperture but a lot more expensive.

You mean 4gb ram and 8gb ram...
Lightroom 3 is even better than cs5 and on my opinion the perfect tool if u shoot raw.

lol yea lucky my mistake :). If i only had 4mb id be pulling my hair out lol
