Well I'm just looking at stuff I'm interested in.
Rather than a direct comparison with what other retailers are doing, after a quick scan I see 35mm slide is.....too expensive, it might as well not be available at the already reduced
price of 15 quid a roll, that might be par for the course I dunno, it isn't sustainable and has got to be designed to be that way by the manufacturer.
All I can say is...Precisa, but the battle for slide is already lost it seems.
How come FP4 is more expensive than Delta in 35 and 120, never seen that before.
HP5 is a similarly odd price, in 120 for an extra 80p you can have Delta 400 and no orrible grit.
I shouldn't complain, Delta is my stuff and its cheaper than the cheap stuff....well, what used to be the cheaper option anyway.
The bulk thing is a bit of a miss, I wouldn't just buy 1 roll of film, or a selection, I'd buy in 120 Delta100/400, Across till there's non left, slide but not £15 a roll slide, and Precisa in 35mm, all by the box.
These are what I shoot all the time, 35mm b/w I quite like APX100, but its too expensive, its my cheap substitute for Delta, but for 50p...I'll buy Delta....or more likely buy APX elsewhere.
I don't actually know if my cheap alternatives are expensive or Delta is just cheaper, I'd have to do my research and I'm not doing that pita till I'm ready for a refuel.
And, yeah, its a pita trailing around retailers but they force us to do it by being all over the place with their pricing, they all say they're gonna be the default retailer for the best prices but never are, its the deal they've got this week, next week it could be anything.
