Hi guys

Im new here  and ive just got a Fujifilm HS10 for my birthday and so far im loving it. :D

Another of my hobbies involves racing RC cars and i was at a track on Sunday. During the heats when i wasnt racing, i was using the camera. Took about 500 photos all in

However, when trying to take some action shots, i couldnt get the camera to take anymore than 7 photos at a time. Does anyone know how to change it to make the camera take more photos in quick succession.

Also what online photo storage sites do you all use. I tried uploading a load of photos to photobucket but halfway through, photobucket crashed and hasnt been back for me since :(

Thanks guys and i look forward to your replies

Chris

From The specs on Fuji's site

This is great when trying to capture sports scenes, action shots and fast moving subjects. Capture an impressive 10 frames per second at the full 10 megapixel resolution for 7 continuous frames and achieve incredible results.

For photo hosting have a look at Flickr. There's a link in my signature and plenty of others. You can get a free account as well as a pro one. If you're with BT broadband you get a free Pro account.

Hi Chris & welcome to TP.

When a digital camera captures an image, the data has to be processed before it can be saved as a file. The camera can usually take photos quicker than it can process them, so the information is stored in a "buffer" until the processer can deal with it.

Your particular model can handle up to 7 images before the buffer is full, so it sounds like that's what's happening. You MAY be able to increase the number of shots by reducing the size/resolution of what your shooting. Most digital cameras have the facility to reduce the "quality" of the actual image it captures, but not knowing your model you'll have to have a look through the manual.

Reducing the size/resolution will lower the amount of information captured, and possibly let your buffer hold more images. Like I said, have a good read of the manual, it should point you in the right direction.

Hi

Thanks for the replies. Ill change the resolution later tonight and see if it will take any more. If not, ill just have to make my trigger finger faster lol

Thanks and im sure therell be many more questions soon :)

You might also find that getting a faster memory card may help. It won't increase the limit, but it might shorten the time before you can fire off another burst.

I would check the equipment board as I would suspect its asked fairly regularly.

In general though you probably cant go far wrong with Sandisk or Transcend brands
