I am looking to get a new system and open to suggestions
I have a budget of up to £1400 all of which is for the PC (no monitor required)

Looking to buy a pre built system this time with a decent manufacturer warranty.

I tend to be heavy on my systems and rarely get one to live past 2 years.
Quite like the dell 3 year warranty with next day on site repair, but open to suggestions.

Only requirement is 64bit Windows 7 at least home premium I guess but usually get Ultimate version and a case that holds at least 4 Hard Drives.

Thanks:)

Check out some of the Ebay Dell "Resellers" thay have some stunning XPS 8000/81000 series machines with 3 years Next day warranty, the spec on some of these machines is awsome and will leave you with plenty of change out of £1,000 never mind £1,400

Got any links please. I can't seem to find them:(

I like the 8100 range however I can only fit 2 HDD inside. Might have to get a NAS setup as well:)

What are you doing on your system that it doesn't last past 2years??? No mater how heavy you are on a PC it should go anf go as long as the hardware is up to it.

I know there are people who hate the them but I have had nothing but good experiences from MESH computers, the last system I bought was mesh and served me well I recently upgraded nearly everything inside but the PSU and Case was good and is still going.

Thanks Gary:)

crikey only a 350W psu in the 8100

May be wrong here, as am looking at Dell desktops myself too at the moment, but the online Dell store seems to sell that first one for £718 at the moment in exactly the same spec.....

Thanks Gary:)

You'll find most big PC manufacturers (HP, Dell, Compac) use crappy unbradned PSU's in there "multimeda" PC's. They are basically made to just about cover the power requirements of the factory ready PC.

Oh yes just a bit of a shock as got a 650w in my current self build

just bought one from pcspecialists of Holmfirth and very pleased with it, built to my specification rather than my previous units which have been Dell and purpose built.

They have a new forum site where their techies and members will answer all your questions 5* rating for me.
