New to forum, New to photography

Hello all,

My name is Amy and im 15.
Next July i will be leaving school and i was thinking about studying photography in college!

My current camera (which i understand wont be as high-tech and expensive as all of yours) is a Fujifilm DX-9.
It will do for now and i like taking beautiful pictures.
So im here for tips, to learn and hopefully talk to some great people.
 
hi there babycakes...nice name and I reckon you will have some admirers of your avatar! Welcome to TP, looking froward to seeing your work. My first digi cam was a fuji finepix 4700 and it got me hooked!

Welcome Amy, hope you have fun and learn lots and lots.

They're a nice bunch really, no honest, they are. Don't be worried about your camera being hi-tech, I've only just recently upgraded to a digital SLR and I bet the stuff you're doing with your camera is good.

I really wish I could go back and do a full time photography course, that ship has sailed though I'm afraid. If you have an interest I suggest you grab the oppertunity to do it with both hands.

Much prefer the purple (y) still colourful but less harsh! ;)

Yep, it's great there are so many of us girls on here now :) Welcome to the forums Amy. It doesn't matter what camera you use - it's the person behind it that makes the difference!
I'm not so far away in Aldershot (and I work in Basingstoke).

well if that's the case then I think we should all knit a different coloured square and then sew them all together!

Knitting? Thats a cool idea, you could make custom knitted camera covers :D There's a market for it! :D
