Hi everyone...
A friend of mine has asked me to take some photos to update her website.
I've done some photos and I'm in the processing stages at the moment.

I notice a lot of you have, is it, "watermarks" on your images?.....should I do this and if I should what is the best way to do it?
New user in PS Elements 7.

I have no idea what I could have/use. Is it best to have your name?
Initials? Email address? Something totally inspired or can that sound odd?

AAAAAAArgh!
:help:

Many thanks for reading my message!

picture shark (think thats what its called) is free and adds a watermark to your image, either text or a photo\image - can be at top side centre or middle. all for free.

I take your response as an indication that I should do it then!!!
Thanks for the quick reply!!

If you simply want the © on your pics just press and hold the alt key and enter 0169 on your number buttons, but you probably knew this anyway:)

If you have PSE7 the easiest way is to use the File->Process Multiple Files option to watermark a number of files.

It's up to you and also your friend with the website how you do it. I'd discuss with her. If you are putting the images up with a high resolution and there is a danger of image theft (and you care about that) then yes watermark.

If you just want 'publicity' then the other alternative is just credit each image to you on the website somewhere, either under each image or on the website 'links' page.

Personally the work I do for websites does not display a watermark. They tend not to like it as it is a business arrangement and they have purchased the image. However I always ask that the image tag is completed with my business name.

Good idea. I will ask her. I would think she will like them better without as they are photos of candles/shells/hot massage stones etc...

Thanks.

Agree.... I will prob ask that she has it somewhere where the images are from.

Cheers.
