Just spent the last day or two planning and making a new website, interested to know what people think about the general look of it.

http://www.zimages.co.uk

Some of the links on the menubar don`t do anything yet but the gallery is working although some of the images will be replaced

Thanks
Ian

Nice layout!! A few niggles with the colours though...I'd make sure the site logo background is completely black so it blends in to the body of the site. Secondly, the red on the menus is a little overpowering...a nice shade of grey perhaps??

A fine site, nice and simple, not too flashy and easy to navigate. I like it.

Site logo should be completely black now, couldn`t see it on my monitor but I vae used the hex codes so it should be Ok, would appreciate it if someone could let me know as my monitor is crap. :)

Looks ok on my monitor. The red in the menus doesn't bother me, looks fine :)

A very nice n simple site, looks good

I was going to use lightboxjs within jalbum for my site until I noticed it was for personal use only. I ended up using serif webplus 10 that I had on a disk.

Thanks for that.

also thanks for the rest of the comments too, I appreciate it. I`m sure not everyone will like the menu colour. :)

I like the design, and the red doesn't bother me at all tbh.

I assume you know the ordering page doesn't work, but the one thing that did bother me was the "contact" link. Why not put a nice contact form in there, rather than a mailto: link.

aside from that,

If you see the first post, you`ll see that most of the menubar links are connected to a plain page, ie, no content, it`s just the basic design at the moment but I do take your point about the contact form. I may change it yet.
Thanks for the comments, all very useful. :)

I would like looking at the photos more if the copyright was not as intrusive and as I look at the photo I had something to tell me where it was taken. Other than that it is a good and interesting site.

Jenny.

The locations will be on the pics that need them, but havn`t decided on what the final pics will be yet, so have left this until later.

I don`t really know what to do with the watermarks, should I keep them or ditch them completely? I suppose the resolution of the images in the gallery will be small so no one can use them anyway.

What do others think?

Thanks for your views Jenny.

We don't put watermarks on our site, as you said the photos are very small and we think that it is better to show them without watermarks.

If you would like to see our site it is :
