Edit My Images
No
Hello to everyone
My name is alex and i am from greece
I just recently purchased one canon 7d and yesterday i did a small photo shoot on a girl.
I saved all my pictures on raw format and i have some questions if you can help me.
Firstly how i can upload the raw pictures to my computer without losing quality?
and secondly i would like to ask you something about Adobe photoshop cs5.
When i edit my images on the cs5 the colors appear as i want but when i save them on jpeg format they appear more black.
What i should do in order to save the images that i have done photoshop to the same colors on jpeg?
Thanks for your time
Alex andronis

First of all, copying raw files from card to pc will not degrade quality.

Are you using a calibrated monitor? Pictures could look dark if you aren't.

What colour profile are you saving the Joel as?

Seeing as you have spent loads on CS5, you can use one of its extra features to ensure that all the data in the image will be retained when applying a profile, this feature is called soft proofing.

The same happened to me i took some photos in raw on my card they were b/w when I put them on my computer they became colour ?
Also new to digital cameras have a SLR SONY 390a .

Raw images are always colour. But the camera has to process the raw image to show it on the display, and will use the camera settings. Check to see whether you have accidentally enabled B&W mode on the camera.

Lewis i am using a hp w1907 lcd monitor as my screen
I think it's not calibrated
The format i save it as jpeg on color profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1
When i do the editing on the photoshop the pictures look ok but when i save them and open them with windows media gallery the appear more black

Also when i open them with Quick time picture viewer the colors are the same with adobe cs5 but the quality is extremely bad

What quality are you saving them at? I don't use either of these programmes, so can't really comment.

On PC I just use Windows picture viewer or bridge.

I just use preview on mac, but it's rare I do anything on an image outside of Lightroom/Photoshop.
