Nikon 50mm f1.4 G Infinity

Does anyone know at what distance infinity starts on this lens ?

I have seen one that says it does not focus to infinity, but from my experience I have probably never used a 50mm at more than about 5-6 metres. Not sure if it manually focuses or if it is just an AF problem.

It is up for £140.00, I might take my camera back to the shop tomorrow to see how it performs.

Its not that far - however if it has an infinity focus problem, the lens has had an impact.

The lens is only 6 months old tops, and would be subject to warranty (unless it had been dropped)..so if it doesn't focus at infinity the lens has suffered abuse, as there is no reason anyone would not just send it in...

Thanks Puddleduck. Looking at some pictures on Warehouse Express, I think it might have been the D and not the G.

Think I will avoid this and go for a 1.8D from Kerso, he is doing them for £100 at the moment.
