I have recently noticed that the rubber grip on my d300 as begun peeling off. It goes the entire height of the grip and stretches around to the red triangle.
I have just emailed nikon and they said that it "is physical damage and therefore invalidates any guarantee given to the equipment"
However. There is no way i could have caused it seeing as it's the glue UNDER the grip that has failed. I was just wondering who else has had this problem to see if i can claim it's an inherent fault.
Thanks.
Edit: Here is the Exact email
"Thank you for contacting Nikon regarding the warranty cover
I was sorry to learn of the problems you have experienced with your camera.
Unfortunately, as the damage to your camera is physical, any guarantee given to the equipment would have been invalidated.
If you would like to send the unit in for repair, please send to the address detailed below."
