I bought a D40X a couple of years ago from a member of this forum, and unfortunately never really got round to using it.
I'm a complete newbie to photography and cameras, I've had an issue a couple of times with the shutter sticking but it seems to unstick itself after a while.
What I was wondering is, why is the battery life so poor? I have the Nikon battery that presumably came with it, and three others that are just plain.
I can charge all the batteries til full, but when I use them they seem to have a really short life? I'm not sure how long these things should last, but they only seem to last for perhaps 15 - 20 minutes of intermittent photo snapping/viewing on the display.
Should they last longer? Or is there anything I can do to prolong the life a bit?
Thanks
