have been looking at these on ebay and it seems there are none of the gold contact pins on top of the dummy battery part.

This means (I think) that the grip relies on the camera being in remote mode to trigger the shutter. Is this correct?

Am not keen on this are there any that use the proper contacts and work like all the other Nikon models?
 
A D60 can't be triggered via a Grip (hence why Nikon doesn't make one)

As the D60 IR port switches off after 10 minutes, these grips are even more pointless than ones that work properly!

Avoid in the strongest possible terms. Do not buy. Run away as fast as you can.
 
just as I thought, thanks.....the D60 does appear to have the internal contacts though, just had a look
 
nope theres a whole load of contacts in addition to the 3 battery ones...........
