Ok so following on form a post in the D750 Thread sugesting a thread be started where D750 owners can ask questoins and share some of the images they have taken here it is

Quick one though, re asking questions, isn't that what the other thread is for?
I think it was original but it got side tracked
It was my original suggestion as I felt more time was being spent in the thread on panamoz, buying the camera, the time between order and receipt and problems, (I include me in this) ...... rather than images, settings and suggestions on set up etc.,
But there will always be some who just object for objections sake
Or, as in my case, those of us who think having two separate threads on one camera is pointless?
true and to make your point you immediately posted images in the other thread ........ is that the first time you have posted a D750 image
Quite possibly, but that's because I'm a new and extremely proud father who took those images yesterday. I'm not trying to "make a point" at all
Keep the thread if it means that much to you. I was just trying to do what's best for the board and keep things simple.
Dosen't mean anything to me
by the way I prefer your Canon 6D images - they have more "substance"
Substance in what way?
the lighting is better
...and Bill, maybe you should keep your crit to crit threads...IF Adam has asked for crit, of course![]()
Good point well made.Or, have one thread called "Nikon D750" and another called "The Panamoz Love-In Thread".
All posts from excited Panamoz buyers (of any cameras) could go in the Panamoz thread. Heck there are so many Panamoz posts on this forum they might as well have their own section.
All the shipment tracking updates could come out of the D750 thread out as well. I don't care your camera is in China/Dubai/Mongolia etc.
Sorted.![]()
Good point well made.
my original comment which started this off was
"just asking - do you think that it would be useful to have a separate " image and technical thread" for the D750 as this thread is now full of other stuff, panamoz etc., (OK I'm as bad as anyone with this regard) ........ or is there one
be good to see images and discussions about settings and advice on set up
what do you think?"
I think a thread about differing settings and the results they produce would be far more productive than the shipping status of peoples cameras.
Why don`t you rename the thread "Nikon 750 users and technical advice thread".....That's what I was aiming for with this one![]()

A thread was started, then you get comments like
"lock it, pointless"
and
"seems overkill"
I agree it is pointless, (making any suggestions to some people and expect to get a reasonable discussion going)
Mine has had little use to be honest, I do,mainly, wildlife stuff and having a few projects on the go has whittled time down for me to actually use the camera.
I have it set up as I have all my other cameras, past and present. Manual mode, auto ISO,AFC and single point focus. As I use it more I will delve further into it,especially the group area options.
Quick shot for now, bloody awful light, highish ISO and little contrast.

It is Mike. However, one difference I have found between the 750 and 800 is that if BBF is enabled, you cannot set the usual shutter button to focus as well,if that makes sense.
