How do I get the D780 to do 6 frames a second in any of the modes apart from automatic

Just make sure you use the optical viewfinder and not live view and obviously the dial is on the CH mode.

How do I get the D780 to do 6 frames a second in any of the modes apart from automatic

1. Set the shooting mode dial to CL or CH
2. In the menu, select the Custom Setting Menu (Pencil/crayon symbol)
3. Select d Shooting/display
4. d1 CL mode shooting speed set to 6fps
5. Exit the menu system
6. Make sure you have a fast enough shutter speed set (i.e. faster than 1/6 second)

Yep have done all that camera still only doing 3 frames then stops but still does the six frames until 100 are achieved in auto mode

are you set at focus release or shutter release

Set it to prioritise on the button rather than focus? (One of the first of the custom settings menu)

Shutter release but as I say it will do the 6 frames on auto

Okay, not wishing to offend but have you got bracketing turned on (Photo Shooting Menu)? That might be one reason but I would expect you to also be complaining about changes in exposure between the three shots. Alternatively, in the Custom Setting Menu take a look at d2 "Max. continuous release" - is that set to 3?

Other than that you've got me stumped
