love the car, but background is too messy for me - detracts from the subject, but lose those twiggy branches and I think it would be much improved.

I agree, its not the best of locations. Really struggled to find somewhere that was open and quiet enough during the week

Nice pics.

I've never really thought about the challenges of car photography before. But seeing these got me thinking. I agree with needing a different location (and the challenges)! I also notice, the location means you've got a lot of odd reflections (esp in #1 and #3) which are a bit distracting. If you find a nice location maybe keep an eye on the reflections you're getting too.

Get a circular polariser, makes a massive difference reducing some of the reflections.

I think #3 works quite nicely with it composed between the two trees.

As others have said, the others have very distracting backgrounds. Vertical poles seemingly sticking out of the car are generally a big no and for me the most distracting element. The location looks promising though with the right angles.

I'd want some sort of separation of the car. It is dark grey so we would want some colourful, perhaps brighter backgrounds. You could play with some light painting as it gets dark in the evening, etc.

I neeeeeeed one of those !!! Nice shots !

The owner has requested some more photos when the weather is abit better. Atleast that gives me more time to find a better location

Stunning motor, but as been said before the reflections are way too busy. Mind technically they are spot on exposure wise etc, better location and your friend will be a happy chappy.

Now the better weather is here i can arrange another photoshoot at last :) Will keep the reflections in mind for next time

I personally love the photos and location, I think when it comes to car photography you an work with most locations, where is this location??

Apologies for bumping an old topic. I thought it would be easier to add to this rather than starting a new one.

The GTR owner got back in contact and re-arranged a shoot. His friend in a 700hp Supra tagged along too

The new ones are certainly at a better location than the original set. One thing I would point out with cars at an angle, if you can see clear under the car to the wheel on the far side the angle looks a little better with the fourth tyre visible as it gives the cars more balance. You can notice it when comparing the last shot, where the far tyre is showing to the sixth shot, where the tyre can't be seen.

nice, I have a Gtr to do this week. I'm taking mine is a nice busy built set up area, for me car photography is about angles, location is good, but not majorly essential
