Just for a change tried a shot with no flash and deliberately minimal depth of field. I'm not sure if I like it but it's the best I managed to get :p ISO 400 and it's a bit noisy :(

It's not bad Doddy, but I think flash is a necessary evil for most macro stuff involving critters. Diffusion to reduce the reflection off shiny carap... erm scaley bits, seems to to be what's required for best results though.

It was just to another picture in the same series...just use the next picture arrows. Some of the picture you can see now are different to then i think.

Well, not freeze it, but dope it up.;) Or cool it down so it goes into a kind of 'suspended' state ;)
