When i`m on flickr it seems to me the best landscape pictures i come across always seem come from the 5D Mk2 purely because of the colours captured, i`m not saying that nikon cant do this because i have seen nice shots from nikons, but is there something that the canon has that is recording the colours better or is it down to full frame mainly?

And no ìm not thinking of changing from nikon to canon and yes i shold probably go and wash my mouth out for starting this thread lol.

Maybe the photographers who use the 5DII know how best to improve the colours using photo processing software, and it's got absolutely nothing to do with the camera!

I have to agree with this. A RAW file is a RAW file and alot of the end result is to do with PP.

Im not sure if the 5D MKII has more dynamic range than Nikon.

I'm a Nikon shooter and my mate is a Canon and to be honest there's nothing between them. There are a lot of variables that come into play such as lenses used and the whole gamut of post processing which is totally subjective.
In short you cannot tell from online shots.

5D is pretty high spec high MP FF camera. to mach that you basically need D3x, which will be somewhat better, depending on your needs really.

BUT - as it's flickr ! it's all down to the shooter. good photographer could match those classy landscape pics with a 4/3rds and cheap manual lens. as they resize the images to about 1mp anyway.

Maybe they shot JPEG :) :)

Seriously, don't think that there's anything in it other than it's a full-frame 'prosumer' body that came first and it's spec suits people who want lightweight but high quality.
