Notepad is being retired

Yahoo Notepad is being retired.​

download your notes before 15 Jan 2027.​

I use this almost every day on my desktop Windows 10 PC for jotting things down, saving passwords etc.​

For me, it is a really useful tool. does anyone know anything that is similar and free ?

Notepad++ is a more than worthy alternative.

I'm a little sad - used to code up whole websites in notepad, in the days when every 1kb you could save downloading meant the site opened faster.
