Nurburgring

i'm going to the Nurburgring in just under 2 weeks. has anyone from here been to it before.

whats the best size lens to use, i got a 18-55mm and just got a 70-300mm lens

would they be ok for taking pics of the car/bike ?

I think there are a few areas where you'll be in range of the 70-300mm yes I can't find the links at the mo though.

What a brilliant video, It's amazing how close to the real thing the games makers
get. Most of the corners in the video are instantly recognisable from Pc games like Need for Speed & Gtr Evolution ect. I spend far too much time Gaming & not enough time taking pictures it seems

Been lots of times and done 100s of laps, never been to take pics though. be prepared to walk miles through the forest to get pics, if it's the major 24 hour it will be mobbed with very drunk Germans (generally very good natured).
Generally Brunchen is where most of the spy shots come from and that will be very busy, the karrussell is easy and popular but not very spectacular, the cars will get airborne at phlatzgarden (forgive spellings) and is where most of the best shots come from.

This is the first time i have tried to take photos of fast moving subjects, i'm going to start going to more race tracks to get practice.

was so many nice cars in and around the ring.

I took alot of photos when i was at the ring, i deleted most of them, wasn't happy with them.
