Another refurb!
Another 13x18, very similar to the last one kindly given to me by
my friend in Sospel.
Totally unplanned purchase, I came across this in an antique shop here in Breil located literally 10 doors away from my home.
It is in much better condition than the last outfit in so far as being much more sturdy.
Almost all the fittings are there barring the screw mech for rise and fall of the front standard( hence the masking tape for the moment).
As is often the case, it requires a ground glass …. Easily solved.
It has no lens nd of course those that I have don’t fit the mounting ring so a bit of modification to do there .
The shutter is inoperable… it may repair though it’s doubtful , having tried to refurb them years ago .
Sadly no film / plate holder which made me hesitate but I may have already found a solution to that issue.
Not a freebie but the price was fair for its condition and how could Ihave walked away leaving it looking so lonely in the shop window
