My apologies for any minor shocks caused by my posting out of Wildlife and Nature Forum.
A lot of you will remember this shot from well over a couple of years ago. I must have had more enquiries about prints from this one than any other shot, but in a monumental cock up, I managed to delete the RAW file and save the original TIFF as an 800 pixels web version!
Conditions have never been quite the same since, until I looked out of the window this morning. Needless to say, I grabbed the camera and legged it out there and got a few shots. 20 minutes later the mist had lifted considerably and the atmosphere was gone, but I think I've managed to duplicate the earlier shot pretty well.
The foreground tree had been felled since the last visit which gave me the opportunity to try this different angle on the shot.
Yes - the RAW file is safely saved! Taken with the 1DMK2 n and 17-40L.
