I thought he came across as a stalker with a camera

Agreed.................

.......but only because he used a Nikon!! :p

Whatever else you can say about the guy, you have to admit that he is completely dedicated to getting the shot, and in his own field, some of those shots are iconic.

Scumbag Pap of the highest degree!

Stalking on the open streets is one thing and bad enough, but ripping holes in hedges, chasing into theatres and cinemas and shops is IMHO "Bang out of order". And what for? Just another intrusive snap revealing nothing of any worth. And partly to blame are the morons who buy the tabloids and mags featuring such trash thus fuelling the market.

It gets ALL of us a bad name.

Not partly, wholly. They create the demand that allows paparazzi to flourish.

Some iconic images, but he had well over a million in his archive so you'd expect some of them to be good.

At least as portrayed in the programme, his behaviour towards Jackie Onassis crossed the line for me, and he came across as a stalker with a camera.

His behaviour towards other celebrities seems to have been rather more normal (for the paparazzi ;)).

The only thing I liked about Ron Galella was his balls and determination in doing his job, however obnoxious he came across as.

What was that phone call his missus was making? I didn't catch it properly, but it looked like they jacked the price up on someone, knowing it'd cost them more to get the work changed. Not very nice.

As for celebs being chased around, no sympathy from me at all. They chose to put themselves in the public eye, so that's where they are.

I think Jackie Kennedy and her kids should have been left alone. She was really only famous because of her husband, not because she went on Xfactor.

I watched it last night, what an obnoxious character, I really felt sorry for Jackie O. Pity Brando didn't hit him harder.
