I now only have 1 working speedlight (Yongnuo) as my other one has failed, so have very little investment in this area, so can be a clean slate (ish) ...
I have some Lencarta studio heads (superfast 300s x 2) plus a few modifiers for that. In an ideal world it would be good if I could use the same triggering/control system with both the studio heads and any speedlights I get as I do use the speedlight(s) when I'm using the studio heads.
I don't think I am looking to over power the sun so power wise equivalent to the SB910 ish would be more than adequate I think.
Main use will be OCF, but it would be a nice to have if one was also iTTl too. Their usage will be infrequent and will be looking at getting one or two initially but may add to it later. They don't have to be the same either, as long as they work together I'll be happy.
I shoot Nikon if that helps. I haven't given budget too much thought either, the Nikon speedlights seem inordinately expensive so am looking at alternatives.
I'm a complete numpty where speedlight/portable terminology is concerned so please keep things simple! Model names/numbers will be of great help here
TIA.
