If you were shooting railways in colour in the 50s/60s, what film would you have been using, and what would be a good equivalent today?

I'm not talking about the horrid green and pink blown out slides from the 70s mind, although that would be cool for some other purposes.... (y)

50/60's..?....gotta be Kodachrome

Now discontinued..:crying:

If you want an equivalent slide to Kodachrome slide, there isn't one but 100F tastes like Kodachrome, no good for skin tones but perfect for railways.
For print film, I guess 160VC, cheapo print film, Kodak Gold.

Agfa Universal!

I was shooting railways in the 50s. Mixture of films. Kodachrome and Agfa for slides. Perutz or Agfa for prints. Ilford for b&w.

For pros with large format sheet film, it would be Ektachrome as Kodak discontinued Kodachrome in sheet formats after the release of the improved Ektachrome E-3 process which was way easier to process.
If not then it would probably for pros be 35mm or 828 sized roll film Kodachrome professional at ASA 8 or 12.

Ektachrome in 5 x 4 and 120 - can't remember he exact name...
