One lens which one

If its just one, then Nikon 200-400

Canon (or Nikon if i used them ) 70-200 f2.8 IS
it the lens i use 99% of the time in my day job and it never fails to impress

EFS 17-55. Of all my lenses it's the most versitile and often used..

That said I'd miss all the others as they all have a job to do.

135mm f2

well i really really like the sigma 10-20mm but if could only have one then i`d have to stick with a kit 18-55mm

24-70 f/2.8 (for FX). If I was still DX based, it would probably be the kit 18-70 Nikon lens.

Canon 17-55 2.8 On my crop 30d this lens would cover almost everything I take.

If we're talking which currently owned lens then it would have to be the 100-400L, it is so damned versatile. However if we are talking dreams, then I would have to go for the 300 2.8 IS, I can keep my TC though right?

I'd have to plump for the 500mm F4 IS if I were restricted to just one lens.

I was dreaming of one of these up until recently...

... and then Taz sold me one so I'm happy now I have my dream lens - yippee :)

I have a 16-85 on my Nikon D80 camera but i have just invested in a sigma 24-70 f2.8 for my strobist work and i am loving this for everything. Not got the wide 16mm side of things any more but not missing it at all.

Sigma 24-70 f2.8 :D

300-800 Siggy.

Canon 17-40 is rarely off my camera.

If I could wish for one lens though, it'd be a 24mm TS-E. Trouble is, I also want a 24-105 and a 50 f/1.4, and...

I dont think this is a question that can be answered, because it depends on the type of pictures you take.

My most commonly used lenses are the Sigma 24-60mm and the Canon 75-300mm

But I have a big range of lenses to suit different needs
