One more mac question..honest

I've accidentally put something in my trash and now I can't get it out. When I click on the trash bin nothing happens. I've tried right clicking and selecting open but still nothing. Please

That's a good sign then! I just normally click (or double click? - I'm on XP at work atm) and it open the contents of the trash in Finder so you can drag and drop back to where you want it.

Relaunch the finder using force quit under the Apple menu and see if that works, failing that restart.

You have to restore the item before you can open it...

Try dragging it to the desktop then launching it,...:shrug:

Thanks for the replies. Sorry, I forgot to post that I restarted and trash opened fine, not sure why I had to restart but all is well now.
