It's very murky tonight. Probably a lot of dust and crud in the air too as the farmers are hard at work round here. It'll look a bit more normal as it gets higher but we almost need a downpour to clean the air

It has just been on the morning news that backs up your post. Debris from fires takes its time to get to the heights where the moon shining through helps create this phenomenon.
