Just acquired a very scarce CANON LENS CONVERTER FD-EOS. I have an adapted M42 Hanimar (Tokina) 300/5 lens to try with the converter and a friend has a Canon FD 200/2.8. As soon as we have time to test the converter will use with EOS FF digital and Sony FF mirrorless cameras (with, and without adapter) - and compare results . The only compatible CANON FD lenses are: 200/1.8L, 200/2.8, 300/2.8L, 300/4, 300/4L, 400/2.8L, 400/4.5, 500/4.5L, 600/4.5, 800/5.6L, 50-300/4.5L, 85-300/4.5, 150-600/5.6L - which can accommodate the adapter's protruding front element. The 4 element adapter has a 1.26x magnification / extender factor - thus with e.g. my 550D any lens' focal length effectively doubles (1.26 x 1.6 = 2.016) The adapter was allegedly only offered during a short period to professional photographers when the Canon EOS 1 series was originally introduced.
