Yes
For some reason, Outlook is telling me I have 5 unread emails, but I don't have any.

I had this before but it only got to 2 and then disappeared.

Have you updated to the latest version? SP1 was released a couple of weeks ago, this included loads of bug fixes

Are you using IMAP or POP3. I use IMAP and have all my emails copied onto my computer, Outlook always reads how many are unread on the server, not on my computer.

Ah the wonders of Microsoft software

don't have a clue what the problem is since I don't use it. Does the Apple Mail app not do the job that you require it to do.

Both but surely the emails will show if they are unread either on the server or the computer.

Don't really get on with the Mail app, much prefer Outlook.

They do create some masterpieces;) Although the PC version of Outlook is pretty good, just seems the Mac version isn't...
It might be worth setting up your account in Apple Mail or Thunderbird and see if you get the same issue? Then at least it is somewhat narrowed down
