Outlook problem HELP!

Outlook problem
I have a problem with outlook
I have an e-mail stuck in my outbox
It failed to send think it was too big
Now I can not delete it outlook has put a strike through the whole line of text but it is now slowing up all my sends.
Anyone know how I can remove it as delete will not do it.

close outlook and then reopen and try to delete before it tries to send but you have to be quick I have managed it a few times

Couldn't you open Outlook when you're offline and then it won't try to send?

You can set ‘File/work offline’ but had to close it and open it then I could delete it remembering to un-tick work offline after.

Could you not just unplug your modem before switching your PC on, and then delete it? I may be talking tripe by the way, it happens from time to time.
