Ive been lucky this weekend, I was let off the leash a bit and again managed to sneak into the peaks Sunday morning, even had breakfast in Grindleford Train Station Cafe (which is worth the £6.50) for a full english.

Heres a couple of images form that trip with some to follow from Carhead Rocks.

Like the second shot, Was there a short while back and came home with nothing to shout about...
 
I like the textures in the first shot. It's all looking quite green. I'm heading there next weekend, with any luck autumn will hit in the meantime...thanks for the breakfast tip too!
 

Both good shots and I can see why you took them.
#2 has, because of the water, already quite a dynamic range though, imho,
the key is slightly too high and, as in #1, the light quality was too flat.
#1 requires more attention since there is no water to kick in the whites and
reflective blacks, and the same flatness is affecting your frame.
Here are quite a few possible tweaks locally applied: colour temp+/- etc
to attenuate the flatness.
You could do a lot better with the RAW file and apply the tweaks to your
artistic intent:
