Panic buying started

The last shop at Sainsbury's on Monday will be my last until the lockdown is lifted. There is a nearer Tescos but it always has the feeling of being a bit scruffy**. There is a very good farm shop about 2 miles away. That together with a bakers, greengrocers, butchers and a small independent supermarket that is also a post office about a mile and a bit away, so no need to travel far to shop. I quite enjoy shopping locally there is no sense of rush and it is much quieter even during the 1st lockdown.

**There is a saying the only reason Tesco's are still in business is, it keeps the riff raff out of Sainsbury's

Got our monthly Ocado shop today, only missing item was sausage meat.
Must be people stocking up for Christmas sausage roll and stuffing making, try again next month.

Been using online delivery for a few years now, can't stand supermarkets so hasn't really made much difference to our shopping regime.
Christmas present shopping is the same, never wanted to trawl round shops and really dislike being called "footfall"
