Yes
I did my first party photo booth today. Just a basic set up with HiLite background with 2 heads and one head with softbox at the front. A selection of wacky hats and wigs, and away we went.
What are people's experiences of these.

Especially if you get the right group of people who love to have their photo taken and are happy to pay for prints. We had 2 events on the run where everyone would call them duffers, the guests just wouldn't leave their seats except for when the buffet was announced the 4 people/familys/couples that we did get up all bought but getting them up was the hard part. yes that was 4 was over 2 events didnt pay for the pizza on the way home after. We think about one of them after and say we would never have even set up with the people that were there, dressing of the room and the cars/vans in the carpark at a wedding.

Yeah, people can be a bit shy.
The idea was, I was paid a set fee for shooting for 1 hour, and the images would be out on cd for the girl who's party it was.
I did not matter if I had 1 or 50 people, so that was less to worry about.
I'm hoping the people who did have their picture taken will see the shot on FB or where ever and want a shoot of their own.
Unfortunately, I was asked to shoot at the beginning of the night, but it was a little slow. After an hour or so (and a few drinks inside them) more people came forward and it went well. It just meant working for 2 hours. I suppose the lesson learnt here was to start half way through the night.

The key to making these evenings a success is to price them correct.Just remember they are not a black tie or formal event ;)
