Password protected image hosting

Anyone have any recommendations?

My friend is off on holiday for a few months on a long trip with his wife, and he wants somewhere he can upload his photos for his/his wife's parents, family, friends to see etc...

Only requirements being password protected, and able to upload large amounts of photos (I think he only shoots with some compact so the file sizes wont be too gigantic)


Anyone have any tips? I've no idea myself as I just use Flickr/DeviantART, hence my inquiry here.

You can create separate albums and set privacy settings on each and I believe, with a password option too.

Have a look at Zenfolio,its free to a point but unlimited storage is $30/£25 a year.

He could still use flickr and either set them as private and use a guest pass to view - if the people viewing aren't members of flickr themselves. Or set them as family only and set the viewers as the only people in the family group (if they're members of flickr).

I use private photos and guest passes for photos of my friends' children that I want them to see but not anyone else.

The easiest option considering he already uses Flickr would be a Flickr Pro account.
