Howdy All,

I'm off to Peebles this weekend for a mountain biking weekend.
Its a beautiful place and i'm hoping to grab a few photos either one morning or on the way there/home.

The A706 South West past St Marys Loch is a nice road I seem to remember!?

Yes, it's lovely. We drove past there a few weeks ago but it was snow/sleet that day. The Grey Mare's Tail is just along the road too.

That looks impressive. Il maybe be able to convince my naviagtor to stop off on the way for a waterfall...

There is a nice castle just down the river from Peebles (Niedpath)

Melrose is a nice little place with plenty of photo opportunities, as is nearby Abbotsford, home of Walter Scott. The gardens there are lovely.
Also...Traquair House at Innerleithen.
It would maybe be worthwhile stopping off here on your way to Peebles, or possibly on the return journey.
