just wondering what it is u like to capture and where the best places are to take picts in manchester! was out on wednesday but couldnt find anythgin decent!

I love Salford Quays, you have the imperial war museum, the lowry and the new media centre being built as well as the deansgate buildings. The central library and cathedral are also good. The wheel and chinatown....................

There's loads! :)

oh yeah keep forgettin about the wheel! but china town? was walkin through it the other day...nothin interestin! as for the catherdral are u allowed to go in and take picts? where is it btw

There's an art Gallery somewhere down oxford road too isn't there thats in quite a nice building? Its on the right hand side as you are walking along towards the curry mile.

You can take pics in the Cathedral but as it's a working place of worship it's best to be discreet! A donation is always good as a thank you too! It's located at the Northern end of Deansgate.

Alternatively, there is also the Northern Quarter, and the old mills around Ancoats make for an interesting wander :)

If I go to the cathedral I go early so as not to disturb their worship and yes, a donation is always a good idea, it's a great place to photograph and well worth it.

salford quays, the wheel, absolutely love deansgate locks, and i think some of the buildings near the station and picadilli gardens are nice.

MANCHESTER IS AMAZING

just realsised the caths quite close to the wheel...might be able to kill two "shoot" two birds with one stone!

castlefield is always good with some good shots of the canal and even the hilton tower. also the museum of science and industry is good too, and only round the corner

Salford quays is great at sunset, especially the bridge at the Lowry centre.
