...its just some people feel a bit less than confident about doing it.
That'll be me then joined this forum to learn about photography with my new camera - ended up learning how to take and edit photographs using a phone and how to post threads then organise competitions and polls in a forum - it's a funny old world
I should really get back to my "proper" camera but this has all been a lot of fun.
Just a suggestion .... it may be worth editing the title to say a poll has been added to get people voting!
Why does this thread not go to the homepage when a message is posted?
Or am I being stupid? :bonk:
It looks like this only appeals to a select few which is a pity as this has been great fun the last couple of weeks.
But sadly, it doesn't seem to be taking off too well.
Perhaps it has to do with the fact that some peeps with 'older' phones feel inferior to those who have the more modern up-to-date gadgets (present company excluded ..... after all I am still trying to understand what an iPhone is, infact never even had one in my grubby paws, and all the other technical jargon associated with the upgrades).
Just one observation I would like to make here, is this a challenge of who can produce the best or 'cr@p' 'iPhone' pic or a challenge of who can take a photo with their phone, regardless of what generation it is????
If it is the former .... then I will have to exclude myself from future challenges as I don't have an iPhone.
Perhaps more clarification on the specifications would encourage more to participate, after all photography shouldn't just be about what equipment is used, be it film, dslr, compact, phone etc .... it is all still the same technique of art .... or am I missing something here???
Cheers

...Keep it running is say
I have been enjoying this challenge. Its a more even playing field. As I am a complete armature in photography and I feel that my skills (and equipment) are inferior to most of the other members.
I dont know if there is a way we could maybe change the rules a touch to accommodate more members?
Maybe: Dont restrict with what the photos are taken. Restrict the adjustments No Photoshop (No Cloning, sharpening, colour adjustments, etc) All photos must be as it came out of the camera and if using a camera only standard kit lenses to be used.
I also hope it keeps running, it's just a bit of fun. I know not everyone has a camera phone but it's not like there is a great prize on offer that they are missing out on the chance to win. There are plenty of other competitions and challenges going on.
I find it very cool how creative some people have been with some of the themes so far, hopefully these threads will also help inspire those people who only have basic camera gear to not give up hope, producing a good photo is not just down to having the best gear.
I should send you my old LG - that will challenge you more than any film camera - hell, just making a call on it was a challenge, never mind trying to use the camera!
I think it's a great idea, and just the thing to show that it's not all about the kit, it's about the photographer... It almost makes me wish i'd a cameraphone. Almost, but not quite
Maybe sme people didn't enter not because their phone is inferior but they missed the thread completely
Soooooooo Yv how do we decide  lol well done Smokeyj and well done everyone for taking part and keeping the fun alive
Alternatively, shared bragging rights and discuss a new theme between you via pm?
Well done Seashaker and Smokeyj deserving winners
I suppose we could have 2 themes next week, one from each of you, entrants could then choose which one they wanted to enter - or maybe 2 competitions, one each
If Seashaker is OK with shaing bragging rights. We can PM negotiate about the theme
Congrats you two
No fireworks theme please
As above I agree with the no bangsticks bit; but not themed?
There's a whole raft of things that you can do based on the Nov 5th Plot itself; Rebellion is one that springs to mind straight away!
We will chose a theme (other than fireworks )
