Please help as I am tearing what little hair I have left out

I am trying to put together a Photobook for my wife for her 40th birthday, I have all the pictures scanned in and now just want to put them into software and send the request for it to turn up on my doorstep....

Now I have heard some good things about CEWE and downloaded their software....well I am now completely confused and getting nowhere fast, have been at it for 4 hours and havent even arranged the first page.......I need to order it by Wednesday....at this rate it will be her 50th birthday before it is completed.........

What I am looking to be able to do is the following.......

1 - Select a background for the page
2 - Select some text to put in
3 - Select and resize the picture for the page
4 - Repeat until finished
5 - Submit order, pay and wait for delivery

It surely cant be that much to ask......has anybody out there got any recommendations on such software or companies they have used before.....

Thanks in advance

I've used Fotobook http://www.fotobook.co.uk/

Again, you need to download their software to create your book. Once you've finished, you upload the finished project to their site for printing and despatch. Didn't find the software too difficult to use.

I believe Photobox can also print albums, but I have only ever used them for prints and calendars.

I've use fotobook and the finished product was great, although I did wish we could have more pages.

I think most companies software can be confusing to start, try their own help pages, tutorials and forums - after the first page it'll get easier!

Was going to use blurb till I found out if you use an image for the cover it got stretched, I read it on their forum so didn't go any further with it.

Fullfast Pm me your telephone number and I will call and talk you through all your troubles, I use Jacobs Cewe.

That's just not true. You can stretch an image if you want but the default is to leave as is.

I have used Blurb a few times. The quality is OK if a little unreliable. I had to get one book reprinted when there were inkspots and pages stuck together.

The software is however easy to use.

Colour is not a proper colour managed flow so it might not be exactly what you expect even if your monitor is calibrated.

For the price it's good value for money though.
