Who are the best people to judge if your photography has improved ? Well not the person that has taken the photo's, but i'm completely self taught and really need to know if i have improved from my very first flickr page to the present. I'm not looking for comments being added, just a general assumption to see if i'm going down the right track :thinking: I hope it's not cheeky to ask. many thanks.
 
I see a great improvement. Even the techniques you're using seem to improve as you flick through the pages. In your first pages I can even see some exposure issues, so I take it that you weren't photographing for too long at the start? By the end of it you're playing a lot more with light, and getting much more creative in your photographs. They're better in composition and even the processing is better. So it's all definitely looks like it's getting better as you progress through your pages :thumbs:
 
That's great thanks for that Karma, i started off with a compact not for very long though and found myself getting into it again, it is a hobby i will carry on now for sure :)

No problem. I might actually go back and reshoot some photos myself. I would like to see if I would approach them differently with what I've learn since I started!

if your photography is your own....you wont be following others traits
originality...counts
 
I'll be more than happy to provide you with some feedback. I would suggest making a portfolio of your work from day 1 till today. Keep it genre based (i.e landscape, portrait, etc,...) EXIF information helps too as it can provide for some technical analysis.

i think you will...your brain has changed and so have your emotions and perceptions

the final photo is the culmination of more than pixels
