HI all,

finally getting my slr tomorrow (been waiting for payday). Canon 500d from comet for £484 (£519 but with voucher code 6400 get extra off) inc the lens kit.

Cant wait to get out and about with it, any first day tips??

Get a spare battery, by sunday you'll be cursing the lack of one lol, I hope you enjoy it..

Exciting in't it....enjoy your new toy and lets see some images

Practise, practise practise, it is a wonderful journey ahead. Soooo much better than a compact.

Subscribe to a digital photo magazine, they are great for picking up tips and editing info.

Don't forget to RTFM !!
