Hi All,

I am looking for a picture importer to import pictures from my camera to my computer.

Unfortunately I can not use the software that came with my camera, Sony a200, as it is not compatible with my system and has screwed it up each time I have tried to install it (Sony say that it "should" be compatible but my experience says otherwise)

I am looking for a software program that is fast, preferably freeware, to help import my pictures.

I am running a windows 7 64 bit system.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Use a card reader and save to a folder on hard drive.

One of the few times when it is actually better to find one that has been used a lot.
 
Ok insert the software disc, go to my computer and click on the DVD drive to open the contents of the disc, locate the setup program and right click it, the choose "trouble shoot compatibility" let it run then choose "use recommended settings" then click on "start the program".

The program should now instal, when finished click next on trouble shoot compatibility, and choose " save these settings for this program"

Hopefully it will have now installed the software and drivers you need.
 
hey dude i had the same trouble when i bought my dell on the first day i installed the OEM software and crashed my comp and i had to manual reinstall the entire system luckily they have came out with a 64 bit compatible version if you look on the website i think you have to download vista compatible version but it works because i've been using it.

I was so annoyed and upset when writing this thread that I had a brain fart and totally forgot about my card reader :nuts:
