Hi I am looking to get one of these movie editing programmes for my new video camera. can you tell me which is the better one please?


Pinnacle Studio HD Ultimate v15 (PC)

or

Pinnacle Studio HD Ultimate v15, Upgrade Edition (PC) :shrug: What's the difference between them please?

I have been using Cyberlink PowerDirector version eight, but the pictures are just too blotchy and over sharp. Does anyone else own Pinnacle Studio HD? I'm also running windows XP Home Edition.

To buy the upgrade edition, you'll need a previous version of Pinnacle Studio HD (e.g. v 14)

I haven't got one, was thinking of using the trial version first. So the Pinnacle Studio HD Ultimate v15 (PC) would be better?
 
I use PowerDirector 9 and don't have quality issues - unless you let the program decide (smart fit) how much compression to use for a DVD.... in which case it is pants as they get it completely wrong and lower the quality way too much.

Any 'Upgrade' software will ask for the serial number of an older version when installing so if you don't own an older version you will need to buy the full version.
