Planets last night?

Whilst out driving last night, I noticed 2 very birght stars, one buy the moon, one not so close to it.

My thinking is they are planets, and a quick google confirms this, but can anyone on here shed any light on these, and also if they are worth trying to shoot?

The bright one is Venus, the other is Jupiter.

It is indeed venus and jupiter. They have been out for about a week now. Also, if you look in the oppisite direction, mars can be seen. It's easy to spot, the only one with a red hue

But last night the moon was positioned nicely between the planets. Looked pretty good!

It is indeed venus and jupiter. They have been out for about a week now.

I think they have been out for a lot longer than that...
