Please help, how to determine distance/size of object in photo

Just in case @Mydogtaco returns or wants to try this elsewhere; here’s where his not understanding photography bit him...
sorry that ball of light is a reflection from the flash, everything else came from the photo
The size of a light source and it’s distance to an object determine the amount of light hitting a subject and the size of the reflection.

Your phone camera flash is a tiny dim light source that becomes almost non existent beyond 10 feet, using a large studio flash (50”) at over 100 feet would return a tiny specular highlight, your phone flash - nothing.

I notice behind the object there appears to be signs of pulse propulsion by the 5 white spots behind the object

Well now .... how do you know it’s behind the ‘object’, maybe it’s a tractor beam drawing the ‘spots’ (alien space ships no doubt) into the maw of the Death Star?
