Please recommend a new body.

I went for 80d and sigma 150-600 lens only 700 over budget.

The 7dmkii would of been another £150 over budget after I've sold my old 18-55 kit lens.

I am assuming the new one is better. 18-55 is stm

i think the stm will be better for video use as the focus is less noisy. enjoy your new kit, and update the thread on how you get on!

70% over budget and you're describing it as "only" 70% over budget? Do you run Government IT projects for a living? ;)

Nahhh ... if running Government IT projects 70% over budget is described as barely touching the contingency funds... buying a Nikon D810 and then explaining you needed new lenses as the old ones were for Canon would have been a Government IT project overrun!
