A recent photograph of my Poecilotheria metallica (Gooty Sapphire Ornamental) Tarantula.
These little beasts are what inspired me to try to shoot some close up and Macro photography. I've only taken up general Photography since May 2021 and have only been teaching myself Macro for 6 months but I welcome any feedback or questions around the image and want to use this forum to gauge where I am as a photographer and to get inspiration and advice on how to improve.
I am very respectful to my animals and don't prod them out for photo opportunities, this photograph was taken while I gave her house a clean. This particular species is very fast and reclusive so getting a half decent shot is always a challenge but I hope you enjoy this one.
