Polarizers worth it?

Yeah I found that even outside when its cloudy, it can be too slow with a long focal length (eg100mm)

I would rarely use a polarizer when it's cloudy unless specifically need to reduce reflections on water/glass etc.
The filter eliminates direct polarized light.

There is virtually no direct polarized light from a cloudy sky - clouds emit diffuse light.
 
arghhhhhhh bloody hours at work and I still haven't had a chance to get out and take some photos!! can't wait for friday, there best be some nice skies and clouds!!
