Hello,

Im need a bit of advise as to what portfolio presentation case people recommmend.

I need something that is A4.
Would like something that it simple plain design. Leather or metal.
Has the option of fitting additional sleeves, upto 15 or so.
Will definitely lie flat and not fold up as if its trying to close. My last one did this :bang:
Sub £50.

Ive looked around and found these 2

But would like to see what other people have or recommend.

Thanks for any help,

trago had some materiel cases with a ring binder bit to put in A4 wallets which I liked as you could keep the pics safe then spread them out on the desk for people to see

I've found a cheaper alternative to the very expensive display cases you can get from the likes of warehouseexpress etc. Ok its not leather, although you can get one in Staples, Goldline product that about the same price. Its a ring binder system. There are no inserts with the item, but you can buy them separate...A3 insert (holds 2 images) is £1.25, A4 sleeves cheaper. Crystal clear, so it will show of your images perfectly and easily holds more than 15 inserts. Comes with shoulder strap. The A3 Portfolio cost me about £34 and I've crammed 35 sleeves into it, so 70 images.

guys how well do 8x10's go into A4 wallets?

just ordered a load of 8x10 prints then realised a4 is like 10x12.....

Those look brilliant, inexpensive too.

I'm tempted to buy an A4 one to begin my photography portfolio, and buy an A3 one for my graphic design one (I currently use A2 and it's a pain to travel with).

Looking at the A4 portfolio, 20 sleeves is absolutely ideal giving you room to fit in 40 images which is more than enough. I dont many prospective employers/ clients would want to sit there looking through more than about 20-30 images? Correct me if i'm wrong...

@pete.rush: I wouldn't really go for those portfolios' you linked, I use something very similar for my graphic design work and the portfolio lacks the professional image, it looks very 'college student.' The Mapac ones seem to be good value for money, i'm not too sure on the 'build quality' though, but it would be nice if they had a zip close up the portfolio.

hiya try silverprint thats where i get all my stuff from and they are not to expensive

The one I bought comes with a zip to completely close up the portfolio, the sleeves can be removed, so you don't have to hand over the complete portfolio, just the sleeve with the image(s), and the sleeves are clear, so you can easily see the image you're displaying.

Peter

I had one of these in college, would never use one again. Not the look I want tbh. I don't want to display more than 15 images anyway.

Think I might just go for the second one in the link I first posted lol. Thanks for all the suggestions though.
